Why Do We Judge?

March 19, 2026

There have always been people who have taken great pleasure in judging others. They judge hair styles, clothing choices, relationship decisions, productivity at work, and so much more. We’re really good at seeing things in other people that make us judge them for their choices. That problem existed among the early believers in Rome and it was tearing apart their ability to do life together. It’s hard to hang out with someone if they’re always doing something that we disagree with or find offensive. We can do a much better job of holding our tongues and not passing judgement on others starting today. God believes we can do it or He wouldn’t have asked us to stop passing judgement.
