The passage in Mark has three parts, the first of which is “follow Me”. What does it mean to follow Jesus? How do we do that on a day-to-day basis? Some of the things that we can do are daily prayer, daily time with God and daily study of the Bible. Part of our faith is intellectual – we learn things about Jesus, we study our faith, we get to know God more. We have to understand who Jesus is to be able to follow Him completely. How can we be sure that we are doing our best to grow in our knowledge of Jesus?
